New year's Eve!

New year's eve in Venice was awesome!
It was definitely packed but everything turned out as we planned.

Before midnight we went out for New year's eve dinner.
It was kind of hard to find place that is open but we found one that was okay.
I recommend having seafood in Venice it's so good!

I had seafood spaghetti which was so good.
So so fresh!

..And I had a glass of Proseco with it.

It was pricey as expected but I can say it was worth it.
Especially being out for dinner on New year's eve.

We went back to hotel and relaxed for a bit.
Couple of hours before midnight we went out and head to San marco square
Where all the new year's festivities going to be.

I was so worried how packed it's going to be.
If it was just me and hubby it would have been okay.
But, having kids with you.
You have to make sure they are going to be okay.
We avoided the crowd.
And it wasn't that bad actually.
I expected worse.

Right after midnight.
We left.
We wanted to avoid everyone trying to leave the square.
It was really packed!

We got to leave and got back to our room just fine.
It was so awesome!

The next day, I woke up so sore and just so done with all of the walking.
So we left the hotel and head to the train station.

It was more crowded today that any other day we were there.

Enjoyed the view for the last time.

We got back in Aviano and got ready for our moving day.
So excited!

xo

Day two in Venice, Lots of walking.

I'm so glad we decided to sleep early.
Even though I didn't have the best sleep because of the excitement
I just feel refreshed.

Before going out we had breakfast at the hotel.
It was a complimentary breakfast.
So good.
The coffee was on point.

After breakfast we went out and started our walking tour.

I didn't plan on stopping by at the Rialto bridge but I can't help it.
I still did.
What a gorgeous day.
I'm feeling so grateful to spend the last days of 2016 and start 2017 here in Venice.

This is what it's looked like behind those gorgeous pictures in Rialto bridge.

We continued our walking and I was so surprised to see this.

Our walk was a little easy this time.
Maybe because it wasn't that crowded yet.

We made it to Piazza san marco the time we planned.
Waking up early was so worth it.

So amazing!!

Little man got to enjoy our walk there.
Like what everybody is saying.
There's some guys there that will offer you anything.
To selfie stick, bird food.
It's pretty pricey.
Just say no.
We let them give little man food for the bird.
It was worth it seeing the smile on his face was priceless.

We continued our walk.

Basilica de san marco.

What a beautiful day!

The other side of the square.
I noticed how it's starting to get crowded this side.
But, it was okay.

We decided to not go inside the basilica since we have the kids.
We didn't want to wait on the line that long.
So we just did more walking.
But, if you have a chance I absolutely recommend going inside.
I heard a lot of interesting things to see inside the basilica.

We passed by the Bridge of sighs.
You won't even notice it was the one until you noticed everyone stopping
and taking pictures of it.
But, it's kind of sad looking at it.
So much history.
It's called the bridge of sighs because it's the last
view of freedom for the prisoners back in the day.

The Gondola's

We decided to head back just before noon.

But we couldn't help it but stop at some shop.
So many interesting things to see.
I want to own at least one venetian mask before we leave Italy.
It looks so cool!

The walk was getting tiring so we had to stop.
Especially for our little ones.
So we stopped near the Rialto bridge for drinks and snack.
I decided to try Hot chocolate.
I've been wanting to try Italian hot chocolate.
It was really good.

It wasn't that sweet and that's good.

More walking.
I was definitely getting tired but I just can't stop.
I keep telling hubby "Let's go there, Let's go there." haha!

Before heading back to the hotel.
Our last stop.
Gelato!

This one was so close to our hotel.

Having such a great time!

After that we head back to the hotel.
Relaxed had some drinks and got ready for New Year's Eve.

Venezia, Italia.

"The best dreams happens when you're awake."

Made it to Venice!

Our 3 day trip to Venice was amazing!
It was definitely awesome.
It was really busy there which I think is normal but it was still
awesome.
I had a great time!

We decided to take the train which was the easiest way to get there.
One hour train ride was not bad at all.

We got there around afternoon.
I couldn't believe we were there!

Definitely the one of the most romantic place I've ever been.
Just love the vibes there.
Love is everywhere!

I didn't expect that canals are everywhere.
Lots of bridges and stairs.
We definitely did  a lot of walking. So, if you are planning to visit get yourself ready for that.
But, for me it was all worth it.

Ahh.. so beautiful!

Venice is like a big maze.
Getting lost is part of your trip.
We got there and we thought we got lost already.
But, after turning around a couple of times.
We found our hotel.

I did a lot of research on which hotel to stay and I absolutely love
this hotel that I picked.
So gorgeous!
This room is called "The red room"
First thing I remembered is the red room from Fifty shades of grey.
But. this room is actually a family room.

Anyways, after dropping all our stuff and relaxing a little bit
we started our walking.
Of course, got lost again.
But, getting lost is not a bad thing at all.
So many cool things you will see everywhere.

The cutest navigator ever!
I decided to carry my infant.
Thank goodness I have the best baby carry every.
It was really comfortable.
He keeps me warm and I keep him warm. :)

..And there it is!
We found the Rialto Bridge,
It says on the map it's 10 minutes from our hotel.
But of course. lots of cool things to see so I think the walk was longer than that.

Rialto bridge.

Gondola ride.

It was really really busy.
We didn't stayed there that long so we decided to head back to the hotel and
relax.
I wanted to wake up early so we can avoid the crowd.

We stopped at couple of shops to pick up some interesting stuff.

We didn't feel like eating out so we just picked up some pizza and ate it
at the hotel.
This pizza was oh soo good!
