A day in Kansas City

After a long stressful week.
I was more than excited to have a fun weekend.. Finally.

Even though the weather didn't really cooperate with us it still went okay.
We still sticked to our plan.

We went to Kansas!
I have been looking forward to exploring
..And we really needed to go furniture shopping
so while we were there we made few more stops to make the trip more worth it.

First stop was Trader Joe's!
I've been hearing how everyone loves this grocery store so I had to check it out.

The line was so long going in there by the way.
It's because of the Covid situation.
I love how organized it is though.
It didn't took that long.

Okay.
You guys.
I only went for some Prosecco and Italian goodies and I'm very impressed
with this Grocery store.
I'm literally in-love!

Definitely not going to be my first time going!!!!

Second stop was the main goal.
It's crazy how big this store is.
It's huge!!
The biggest furniture store I've ever been!

It's a bit disappointing though
how some stuff are not available..
..And the shipping takes forever but we got a couch.
We'll see how long it's take.

We gotten so tired after that.
So we went to lunch right away.
I wanted to go to Longhorn steakhouse
But, the waiting was 30-40 minutes
We didn't want to wait that long so we just went to other next restaurant
which was Chilli's

It was a good lunch.
This was our first time eating out in Missouri.
It feels good also weird at the same time.

Our new normal will never be normal to me.

After lunch we went to the Filipino grocery store to get my favorite Filipino goodies.
Since Kansas is one hour away we tried to make the trip worth it.

It was such a fun day!!!
The weather gotten better at the end of the day which was nice.

We have to do more furniture shopping until we move in.
I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.
I'm hoping everything goes well.

Wish us luck!!

IHOP

Nothing is more comforting to start the weekend with some IHOP for breakfast.
It has been almost 4 years since I had this.
Still nothing better.

My week has been better than last week.
I can say last week was the worst week of my life.
But, let's focus to this week.
It has been good.

We just bought a new car.. A mini van.
Perfect for our family.
..And last Wednesday my first born started school again.

It's definitely been the longest Summer break.
He was so excited to be back.
Of course, us too!

After dropping him off at school we went to IHOP for breakfast.
My other boy haven't started school yet, we don't know for sure if he will.
But, for now I'm just going to enjoy my alone time with him.

This Tres Leches Pancakes was ahhmazing.
Melt in your mouth and it wasn't crazy sweet.

Of course some omelette to pair with.

After breakfast we stopped by at the park.

*sigh
What a crazy month, crazy week.
I can't believe I went through what I did.

You really don't know how strong you are if strong is your only choice.
One day all the words will come out and I get to explain everything.
For now, just gonna keep healing as much I can.

I wish you all a good week.

Forever in my heart.

 Heaven gained another angel.

You are in my heart forever baby.

Spread your wings and fly high,

Soar above the world. Paint the sky in indigo

Let your graceful colors flow,

and I'll search the sky for your rainbow.

Exploring Warrensburg, Missouri.

What an amazing weekend it has been!
I can say that it's our "official" first weekend here in Missouri
Since the 2 first weekends was spent inside from being Quarantine.

I'm so happy we got to explore our new city!

First off, we had to burn some energies.
It's pretty hot in here.
Almost as the same in Italy.

Hot weather didn't stop us from exploring.

We got to shop for food and things we need.
I tell you, it's so nice when you can get everything you need yourself.
We went to Grocery stores on base and BX.
It's definitely not as nice as the one overseas but it makes sense why it doesn't have to be crazy big.
Since you can pretty much get everything you need Off base.
It's still a pretty nice base.
Very nice.

We picked Chipotle as our "Post-Quarantine meal"
The last time we had this was when we went to Paris few years ago.
The only difference is here in the US they don't serve margaritas.
Yessss they serve Margaritas in Paris.
How amazing!!!!!

Anyways, this Burrito bowl was on point.

Just like what I'm craving for!!!

The next day.
We went to Walmart to get the stuff we didn't find on base.
It's a pretty busy weekend, Grocery stores are full.
But, everybody wears mask here I only saw a few that doesn't and they are very respectful with the distance so that's good.

I found this Donut place that serves Boba Milk tea in Warrensburg.
Oh my god.
It definitely makes me happy.
..And to think that this could be about 5 minutes from our new home
makes me more happy.

Of course, my favorite flavor.
Taro!
with some Black Boba.

The flavor was on point!

Then we picked up some Hibachi for dinner.
Yup definitely Asian. =)

Hubby didn't have any problem with it.
It's definitely been a while since we had an "American version Asian food"
I like to call it like that because it is really different.
Yeah, it's not really good if you are on a diet but its good to have it
once in a while.
Like a cheat meal. =)

Sunday..
We got up so early to finally be able to workout.
It's about time.
With all of this eating, we had to push ourselves to move.

I felt amazing!!
It was such a beautiful weather for a run!

The boys also had their workout while mommy was running.
Hubby took them to a bigger playground.
They both loved it.

For dinner...
It was a "no fast food day".
We had a home cooked meal, Hubby made his awesome Enchiladas.

Soooo good!!!!

Such a fun weekend.
Tomorrow we get to see our "possible" new home.
I'm crossing finger, hoping that everything works out and we get to move in on Sept 1st.
I am very excited to decorate and start our new life here in Missouri.
I'm so grateful.
It's been amazing so far.

Have a good week!!

Quarantine Days.

The longest 14 days of our lives!

I guess getting quarantined somewhere else is a different story.
When we got into a lockdown in Italy, It's not as bad because we were
in the comfort of our own home.
All we had to worry about is our food and things to do to keep ourselves entertained.

This may be the most boring 14 days of our lives...
It was still good family quality time.

The Temporary lodging we stayed at is not as big as the one in Italy.
But, it has the basic stuff we need so thats a good thing.

We got to fill up our fridge before we started that kept as satisfied for at least 4 days so that was good.

Working out was probably the hardest.
Since me and hubby are pretty active.
Hubby doesn't mind not being able to work out.
But.. me? I have to do something.
We had figure out something to keep ourselves active.

Home workouts it is!

The boys kept theirselves pretty busy too.
So that's a good thing.

..And most of the time we are just on our Gadgets and that's okay.

I did a lot of Yoga more than I ever did lately.
And I feel amazing.

A lot of amazing food too.
We did few delivery dinners.
I'm so grateful that we can do this.

Hubby had someone help him get what we need.
We felt bad being needy, but you know what we had no choice.
We are grateful someone is willing to do it.

Charley's!!!!!

My cravings got satisfied a few times this Quarantine days.
Because we definitely cooked a lot more home cooked meals than ever.

Today is our last day.
We finally get to go out tomorrow.

I have never been this excited in my life.
It's like going out after being lockdown for a few months.

Stay healthy friends and be careful.

Have a great freaking weekend!!!!
