Rocky Mountains, Colorado

After our sightseeing at the beautiful Horsetooth Reservoir
I thought it will be hard to beat it, but when we went to Rocky mountains.
It blew me away.
It was so breathtaking!
The drive going up to it was the best.
I'm grateful to be able to see it myself.

If you are planning on going to Rocky mountain, I suggest going early
Because there's so many things to see!
..And the drive will take a little bit of time.

So we were up and ready to go early.
Even my little munchkin!

Family pictures at Estes park sign.
You will see this before you drive up the Rocky mountains.

We had a little picnic before going to the top of Rocky mountains.
It was a little chilly because the picnic area was covered with trees
But, It was really nice there.

It's like you are in the middle on nowhere.
There was literally no internet, no cellphone signal there!

The water was freezing cold!

After the picnic we stopped at this area.
There was suppose to be a pathway to a waterfall.
But, they said that it got flooded here really bad.
So the bridge and pathway to it is gone.
So sad!
But, it still looked nice!!!

It was a long walk but the breeze and sunshine made it all better.
Perfect combination!

At 3pm we started our drive to the top.
The temperature there was just at 50 F
As higher we get it got lower as expected.
It was 40 degrees F on the top!
It was chilly and little breezy.
The drive was probably my favorite part.
It's the best view I've ever seen in my life!

There was snow on top of the mountain so we let little man played for a little bit.
The gift shops were closed when we went because I guess they closed this season.
They said it usually snow this time of the year that nobody get to go to the top because of the snow.

That's crazy!
Hubby went here before but he didn't made it to the top because it was snowing and the
road wasn't safe.
I swear the drive was scary, I don't even want to drive on that road.

Anyways, this is the view from the top!
How awesome is that??

Picture with the family!

Cousins.

I just can't stop taking a picture.

When we got there though, It's like I got paralyzed and
just want to stare at it.
Just so awesome.

We got back down to Estes park just in time.
It was almost dark.

We got to see these elks before we left.
It's so cool how much elks are hanging out there.
They are very wild they said, so can't go any closer.
There was couple of them fighting at each other!

After that fun sightseeing we decided to walk around Estes.
Where all the shops, gift stores, restaurants were.
I don't know if its normal but after being in the cold I wanted some..

 Ice cream!! haha

All of us had some.
What an awesome day.

Rock bottom brewery

After our little sightseeing at  Horsetooth Reservoir
We went to Rock bottom brewery for dinner.
It's me and hubby's first time there.

You guys probably know how much I like trying new places.
This place is popular for their beers.
I wish I can have some but I have to skip it.
Hubby had their lightest beer.
He said he liked it but my mother in-law said it's really bitter.
Hmm.. I can't really say if I would like that.

We had Nachos and Pretzel bites for appetizer.

Hubby had a bison burger and I had this! (forgot what it's called, sorry!)
We split them both in half so we can both try it.
..And it was so good.
It's my first time trying Bison burger and It was really lean!
My burger tasted really greasy, but delicious!

I highly recommend this place!

It was a great night.
Time to get ready for tomorrow!

Horsetooth Reservoir

Hello everyone!
We went to Colorado for a few days last week.
It was such a great time.
We went to visit family and while we are there we did some fun things too.

The drive from Iowa to Colorado was not that bad actually.
I think we've been on the road so much that being on the road less than 10 hours is good.
The boys did good.
There's some crying here and there but that's because It's been a long day of
sitting in the car.
But, other than that they did so good!

Anyways, on our first day there we just hangout and relaxed.
The next day we went to Horsetooth reservoir.
It.was.gorgeous!
Really!
It was one of those views that you can't even reach your phone,
You just want to look at it and enjoy the view.

It was a little cold but it was not that bad.

The time we went there was perfect time because it was almost sunset.

With the family.

Gorgeous drive.
It was really nice.

...And my brother in-law said that tomorrow's view would be much better than this.
I cannot wait.

You all need to visit Colorado.
It's amazing!

Roadtrip to Iowa

It was so sad leaving Goldsboro.
Going to miss our house, friends. everything.

But, I am ready for a new chapter.
New adventures.
I am excited.

Let the adventure begins!

We left Goldsboro around 6 am.
We are going to a 19 hour roadtrip.
2 days, 19 hours drive to Iowa.
There's no way we can do 19 hours drive straight especially
with the kids so we had to do it for 2 days.

The first 4 hours of the trip was quiet.
started to get uncomfortable but it was okay.

My face seeing the sunrise.

The traffic was bad it took us a while to leave North Carolina.

My favorite view every time we go to Iowa.
The mountains in West Virginia.

We got to OHIO after lunch.
We only had to stop 3 times on our first day of travelling.
I think that is good, especially with having kids with us.
Feel so bad though because the kids were getting so tired from sitting down.
Well, I was too!
I recommend having a lot of entertainment for the kids.
Books, Activity books, Learning toys.
..And lots of snacks!

ohh. make sure they are not drinking a lot the whole time.

After 12 hours of driving we decided to stop and find somewhere to stay.
We ended up finding place to stay in Indiana.

I wanted to sleep in the most comfortable bed ever.
I'm glad we decided to stay in Holiday Inn.

We got the 2 bed room.
It was really clean.

My boys did so good on our 1st day.
I'm so proud.

All I did all day was snacking.
I decided to just have some salad since I'm craving for some greens.

This chicken salad were so good.

We decided to sleep in a little bit the next day.
I slept so good!

But, first...
Coffee!

Before leaving we decided to walk around the hotel.
They have indoor pool and gym.
I wish we could stay longer.
But, we have to keep going.

We only had 6 hours of driving left.
It was actually so much better than yesterday.
Still so sore from sitting down all day.
But. I feel better.

Still just snacking on our drive to Iowa.
I didn't want to eat something big.
Water and some snacks and I'll be okay.

Found these interesting snack at the Asian store the other day.
It was really interesting.
I like it!

Made it to Iowa around 2 pm.
Finally!

Now, time to just relax.
I cannot wait to do some stretching tomorrow.
