Fourth of July 2023

 

For the first time in a long time,

We got to celebrate Fourth of July at home together.

It has been usually Hubby is away for work,

Or we are traveling.

I made sure this year was extra special.

Finally got to do one this year.

I love it!

Cupcakes!

I love getting themed cupcakes at Hy-vee!!

Hubby grilled some eat,

Not a lot since it was just us.

Cheers!

We for sure still made a lot of food just for us.

But, its okay.

I love leftovers!

This Pasta Salad,

that we have been making for few times now,

The meats that Hubby grilled was perfection.

The BBQ beans that we make every Holiday!

Potato Casserole that I learned from Mother in-law.

It was so good and easy to make!

It was an amazing Dinner!

So grateful!

Happy Hour (Fitter's Pub)

 

We had such an amazing long weekend!

So many things to celebrate,

It was a perfect weekend!

Hubby had his Promotion ceremony, Birthday, and it's 4th of July weekend!

I am so grateful we got to celebrate it together,

With Family!

On his Birthday we had a chance to go out for few drinks and celebrate.

We rarely do this

So it was so nice to have a kid-free time!

My in-laws were visiting!

We decided to try Fitter's Pub this time. 

I'm glad we did.

We had a nice, relaxing time!

Started off with his favorite drink.

Long Island Iced tea!

It was so refreshing!

Then we had Appetizers.

We had Dinner plans with the Family so we just decided to have appetizers with our drinks.

I couldn't ask for anything better.

We watched all the games and there was a hotdog eating challenge on one of these tv's which was

so entertaining for me! haha!

When we were almost done we went outside so I can finish my drink.

It was a hot day but their fans were on!!

That was nice.

It was a great day with my love!

I love finding amazing Asian Restaurants.

I'm so glad we get to have some whenever we want.

I still remember those days living in Europe where its so hard

to find authentic Asian food.

Busy days,

Take out is my friend.

Tried this Matcha Milk tea with Rainbow jelly

and it was so good and refreshing!!

Also ordered some beef noodles,

Might as well!

..And I highly recommend.

Adventureland (IOWA)

 

Our fun weekend in Iowa continues 

with a fun day in Adventureland.

It was a hot day but I'm happy it was cloudy for some time.

I have never been here and Hubby wanted to take the boys for a while now.

It was a fun day!!!

The tickets were not too bad!

And it wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be.

I highly recommend going right when they open.

This was a perfect late Birthday fun trip for the two.

Thats probably the highest I would go.

The view was nice!

We stopped by at the arcade before leaving.

It was a great day!!

Iowa Cubs Game.

I can't believe thats its been 8 years since we watched Iowa cubs game. 

I love going to the game whenever we can.

This time was a blast because the boys was with us and they were such good boys!

Beer first!

The weather was nice!

It was hot but hubby got the perfect seats!

They won!

It was a great game!

We had a great time.

Giordano's Chicago Style Pizza (IOWA)

 

Wow!

Giordano's,

 After all the traveling we did,

I'm telling ya, Chicago's Pizza is still on one of the BEST list.

Last time we had it was almost 8 years ago!

Chicago 2015

It was one of the best trip.

Hopefully one day we get to come back!

Anyways,

I was so pumped when I found out there's Giordano's in Iowa.

In Des moines.

We planned the day to go there for lunch before we watch the IOWA CUBS.

It was the perfect day.

Started off with some Drink!

Calamari for Appetizer.

My mother in-law came too and they picked the appetizer sampler.

It was all so good!

The Appetizers came right away.

The pizza took a little while.

But, it was all worth it!

The deep dish crust is really good on its own way!

Everything on it was so fresh!

You could tell that it was freshly made!

Me and hubby was on Pizza heaven!

The boys had regular crust and they all loved it!

So soo good!!

Perfect day!

Orange Mimosa

There's nothing better than

a refreshing Mimosa on this hot day!

This was so refreshing!

I highly recommend!
