Ramsteiner Hausbrau

Our first German Meal!!

We wanted to do it comfortably for our first time,
I'm so glad that the Base has a German Restaurant.

Their decor was pretty nice!

We went in for an early Dinner so there was not much people there.

The only thing I didn't like about the experience is that it's self serve.
But i think it was still pretty good!

Prost!

My big boy had a Burger.

Hubby had a Schnitzel with white sauce,
and it was a good choice because it was oh so good!

I felt like having meat that day so I ordered this.
I am so sorry for not remembering the name,
But it was sooo good!

We also ordered sausages for appetizers and it was all on point.

The perfect bite!

It was such an amazing first German meal!

so grateful to be here!!

Nanstein Castle

I am so excited to travel!
Having another opportunity to come back here in Europe is
something I will be forever be grateful.
First up,
We decided to stay in the area,
We will do the further away traveling once we are settled.

Going to a castle was on the top of my list.
We want to go to all of them if we can!!

We went to this one first,
Located in Landstuhl.
It's very close!

Having to do a mini hike before going to the castle was so much fun!

The weather was perfect!

The hike was doable even for a 2 year old!

The views around the castle was amazing!

There's a small fee to get inside the castle and it was not bad at all!

This castle is perfect especially if you just got here.

A quick handstand :)

Don't miss the top of the castle it has the best and last view of the castle!!

The boys loved it!

Ahhhh
So happy to be here.

Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes

We are back with an amazing Sunday Breakfast!!!

Sunday's has been so special for us because it's the day before a new week!
So we try to make it a little special.

This amazing Pancake is definitely going to be one of our favorites.
It's soooo good!!!

Make sure you make your favorite savory side with it for balance!!

Let me know what you guys think!!!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar.
  • Then in a separate bowl, melt 3 Tablespoons of the butter and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then mix in the eggs, milk and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined being careful to not over mix the batter. It’s ok if there are lumps in the batter.
  • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.  Spread the remaining butter onto the skillet or griddle where you will be cooking the pancakes.
  • Add a pineapple ring to the skillet or griddle.  Sprinkle some of the brown sugar on top and a cherry to the center of the pineapple.
  • Pour approximately 1/4 cup of the batter over the pineapple allowing it to go outside of the pineapple ring.  Continue this process to form multiple pancakes on the griddle or skillet.
  • Cook the pancakes for 1-2 minutes until bubbles start to appear on the top and the edges are set.
  • Use a metal spatula to flip the pancakes (including the pineapple and cherry) and cook the opposite side until it’s golden brown (1-2 more minutes). Do not press done on the pancakes and do not flip the pancakes multiple times.
  • Continue this process until all the pancakes are made.
  • Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!

Enjoy!!

Croissant Breakfast Sandwich

Sunday Breakfasts have been on point lately,
It also became a meal prep because we love making food with leftovers
and heating it up in the microwave is just so easy!

This was so perfect!!

Ingredients

  •  1 pound pork breakfast sausage meat
  • 4  large eggs
  •  teaspoon salt
  • 1//8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  •  Croissant
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • Ketchup and/or hot sauce optional, for serving

Instructions

  • Shape the sausage into a patty. Warm a 10-inch skillet or dark nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook, pressing with a spatula from time to time to flatten a bit and flipping once or twice, until cooked all the way through. Drain on paper towels.
  • Crack the eggs into a small mixing bowl and add the salt and pepper. Beat with a fork until homogenous.
  • Pour off all but about one tablespoon of fat from the pan. (Depending on your sausage, you may not need to remove any.)
  • Pour the scrambled eggs into the skillet. Cook, dragging the edges to the center from time to time and swirling the pan once in a while to encourage the uncooked top parts to wend their way to the bottom.
  • When egg is just about cooked, place the cheese slices on top to cover the surface and let them melt a bit.
  • Split the croissant in half across the beltline.
  • To assemble the sandwich, place the sausage and then the cheese-covered eggs onto the bottom half of the croissant and top with the other half. Serve with fruits or any side you prefer.

Enjoy!!!
