Porto Venere

What an amazing trip this has been.

Going through pictures and reflecting back on our travels here in Italy/Europe
just leaves me incredibly grateful.

Cinque terre has been awesome.
After a long day yesterday.
Today we decided to go check out Portovenere before we head back home

Porto Venere is a village on the Ligurian coast of northwestern Italy. It’s known for Porto Venere Regional Natural Park, a protected area with trails and dive sites. The park encompasses Palmaria Island, dotted with beaches and caves. The Gothic-style Church of St. Peter sits atop a rocky headland. Nearby is the centuries-old Castello Doria, an imposing clifftop fortress with views of the Gulf of Poets.

We took a boat from La spezia to Portovenere.
Which is about 30 minutes away.
A boat trip was definitely a good way to see Portovenere on a different perspective.
The views were amazing.

Everybody enjoyed the view.

When you arrive this Beautiful view will greet you.

Surreal.

My loves.

We checked out the church and the views around.
There's people sunbathing in every corner.

It was a bit scary.

The views were worth it.

It was a hot day and the lack of shade made us felt bad about the boys.
So we had to find a restaurant to chill and maybe get some lunch.

We found this one just along the coast.
They have really good menu.

After that we headed back to La spezia by car.
It's better this way so we didn't need to wait for the boat back.
It was worth it.

Before heading out La spezia.
I had to stop by and get some bubble tea.

For the road.
5 hours drive back home.

Enjoying the view for the last time.

What an amazing last...long roadtrip.
Grazie, Italia.
For everything.

I will never forget your beauty.

xoxo
